Celtic will meet Swedish side Elfsborg in the third round of qualifying for the Champions League after easing to a 5-0 aggregate victory over Cliftonville.

Already leading 3-0 from the first-leg in Northern Ireland, Celtic wrapped up the tie with a 2-0 victory at Celtic Park on Tuesday.

Celtic defender Efe Ambrose cored in the first-half before Greek forward Georgios Samaras knocked out Cliftonville’s part-timers in the 70th minute.

Elfsborg also cruised to a showdown with the Scottish champions, claiming a 4-0 win against Daugava in Latvia earlier in the day to progress 11-1 over the two legs.

Meanwhile Kalju created a slice of history by claiming their first victory in Europe with a 2-1 win over HJK.

Kalju will now meet Plzen in the next round after the Czech Republic side won 2-1 away to Zeljeznicar and claim a 6-4 aggregate score.

In other matches, Sheriff hammered Sutjeska 5-0 to progress despite being held to a home 1-1 draw in the first-leg, while Skenderbeu needed extra-time to seal a 1-0 win over Neftci.

Other teams to move through to the next round were Dinamo Zagreb, Steaua, Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Dinamo Tbilisi, Molde and FH.
