Claudio Bravo has left Real Sociedad to join Catalan giants Barcelona.

Bravo, who has started all three of Chile's World Cup matches so far, will join his new club after the World Cup.

No fee has been confirmed, but Barcelona have reportedly signed €12 million for the goalkeeper, who will sign a four-year contract.

The Spanish giants - who finished the season without a trophy for the first time since 2007-08 - had already signed young German goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen this summer.

Ter Stegen, 22, is seen as the long-term replacement for Victor Valdes, who is leaving the Camp Nou this summer.

But he will face stiff competition for the jersey from 31-year-old Bravo, who spent eight years at Sociedad and and made 229 appearances - including one against Gimnastic de Tarragona in 2010 that saw him earn the unusual distinction of scoring a goal.
