Werder Bremen scored twice in the final four minutes to claim a thrilling home win over Freiburg in the Bundesliga this afternoon.
The visitors twice came from behind to draw level at 3-3, but Aaron Hunt's 87th-minute penalty and a last-gasp Wesley strike won it for Bremen.
Papiss Cisse netted twice for Freiburg, opening the scoring in the seventh minute and making it 2-2 shortly after the break after Clemens Fritz and Claudio Pizarro had turned the game in the hosts' favour.
Marko Arnautovic put Bremen back in front in the 65th minute, but Stefan Reisinger looked like he had rescued a point when he made it 3-3 six minutes from time.
The afternoon started so well for Freiburg as Cisse turned home Johannes Flum's low cross from close range.
Fritz headed Bremen level from Lukas Schmitz's left-wing cross in the 30th minute and Schmitz set up Pizarro moments later only for the Peruvian to head against the bar.
The striker made no mistake in the 34th minute, though, when he fired into the bottom corner from inside the area.
Cisse, the highly-rated Senegal international, levelled in the 48th minute with another close-range finish from Julian Schuster's low ball across the area.
Bremen regained the lead 25 minutes from time substitute Arnautovic heading home from Marko Marin's cross just three minutes after coming on.
Freiburg would not lie down, though. Tim Wiese did well to keep out Cisse's header, but Reisinger tucked home the rebound from virtually on the goal-line.
Bremen finally broke their opponents' resolve with a fourth with three minutes left, Hunt sending Oliver Baumann the wrong way from the spot after Pavel Krmas had fouled Mehmet Ekici.
And, with Freiburg pushing forward in search of an equaliser, Wesley made the points safe, running unchallenged from midfield before shooting powerfully past Baumann from 12 yards.
