Di Natale with a late winner for Udinese |
 |
Udinese overturned a half-time deficit to earn a deserved victory which extends their unbeaten home run in Serie A to six games.
They fell behind shortly after the half-hour mark when Samir Handanovic's error gifted a goal to Juan Manuel Santana.
But Pablo Armero netted a stunning equaliser and Antonio Di Natale grabbed the winner nine minutes from time.
Alexis Sanchez was first to threaten as he fired wide from 10 yards, and Adrian Mutu's effort at the other end was weak and easily held by Vlada Avramov.
Gokhan Inler's cross was smashed against the bar by Mehdi Benatia as the hosts threatened once again and Juan Manuel Vargas fired a free-kick high and wide at the other end.
Sanchez came to the fore as the half progressed and started the move which saw Di Natale set up Kwadwo Asamoah, who could not find the target. Sanchez himself then shot wide before the Viola went in front against the run of play.
Handanovic came to gather the ball and missed it completely, allowing Santana to slot home.
The keeper looked nervy once more as he turned over Gaetano D'Agostino's weak effort and then Vargas' corner.
Inler tested Avramov from 25 yards early in the second half and Di Natale was just off target two minutes later.
Another effort from Inler skimmed the post as Udinese came closer to a goal - and it finally arrived in the 63rd minute.
And it was worth the wait, Armero letting fly from 30 yards and leaving Avramov helpless as the ball flashed into the top right corner.
German Denis was the provider as they grabbed their second in the 81st minute, teeing up Di Natale to finish from close range.
