Milan complete Robinho deal |
 |
Two years after joining Manchester City on transfer deadline day for a British record transfer fee, Robinho has completed his move to AC Milan and joins the Rossoneri on a four-year deal.
Robinho cost City £32 million when signing for the club in a shock move from Real Madrid in 2008 but it is reported that they have recouped an initial payment in the region of £12.5 million.
Robinho, who spent a spell on loan with Santos last season, leaves City after scoring 14 goals in 41 Premier League appearances.
Milan have confirmed that after passing a medical in the Italian city on Tuesday, Robinho has joined the club on a permanent deal.
"AC Milan announces it has acquired player Robinho on a permanent deal from Manchester City," read a statement. "The Brazilian player has signed a four-year contract with the Rossoneri club."
Robinho joins Milan just days after the club recruited Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Barcelona. They join Alexandre Pato and Ronaldinho at San Siro to form a very talented forward line.
However, Roque Santa Cruz is expected to stay at Eastlands after his move to Lazio fell through.
