Juventus and Hamburg with a goalless draw
The bianconeri had a good first half but in the second half with the passing of time, the exhaustion due to intensive training could be felt.

Del Neri began by fielding a 4-4-2 formation with Storari in goal, Motta and De Ceglie fullbacks, Legrottaglie and Ferrero as central defenders, Sissoko and Ekdal in midfield with Lanzafame and Martinez on the wings and Diego and Trezeguet as strikers. The first half was a good one with goal scoring opportunities for both sides. Del Neri’s team showed good movement by Martinez on the 16th and the 30th minute who on both accions served Trezeguet with the Frenchman first being anticipated and then forced the keeper to a difficult save from along distance shot. Trezeguet on the 39th minute also forced the keeper to a difficult save after an excellent header. Four minutes earlier, a Diego free-kick went wide. Hamburg also had their opportunities particularly with Guerrero who found Storari well prepared on the 17th, 22nd and 29th minute. On the last of these occasions the ball parried by the Juve keeper reached Petric who tried a shot but sent the ball wide.

At the start of the second half Del Neri changed the attacking dup: Del Piero and Amauri came on for Trezeguet and Diego. Martinez was replaced by Grosso, De Ceglie moved up to take the position of the Uruguay national. De Ceglie, in fact was the first to test Rost with a long distance shot. It was then the turn of Del Piero from a free-kick but the Hamburg keeper was not caught unaware (19th). Another change for Juve was made on the half-hour mark with Grygera coming on for Motta, while towards the end of the match Buchel came on for Sissoko. Exhaustion could be seen and this reflected on the rhythm of the match. On the 30th minute Ferrero made a great intervention anticipating the German strikers on a cross by Pitroipa. Hamburg hit the post with Berg on the 34th minute while the bianconeri had a couple of attempts with Pasquato and Amauri.

The bianconeri will now have two days of rest and get back to training on Wednesday with the training camp in Varese, which will also include the internationals who at the moment are training in Vinovo.
