Pasquale Marino lands Parma job |
Serie A club Parma have confirmed the appointment of Pasquale Marino as their head coach for next season.
Marino left Udinese at the end of last season and was replaced by Francesco Guidolin, who himself departed Parma after securing eighth place in the table.
Now Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi has confirmed Marino has been given a one-year contract by the Gialloblu.
"We have reached an agreement with Marino," Ghirardi told Sky Italia. "This is not an exchange of coaches as Marino was our first choice.
"Guidolin still had one year left in his contract with us but he opted to leave. We came close to signing Marino three years ago but he had already signed for Udinese.
"I believe he is a thorough manager with an exciting style of play that will no doubt bring joy to our fans."
