| Delneri: Biggest challenge of my career |

Today was Day 1 for the new Juventus, the first time with new president Andrea Agnelli and the start of Luigi Delneri and Giuseppe Marotta's Bianconero adventure. The feeling in the air was like the first day at school, the desire to get on with it and get Juventus back to the top of Italian football. There was also an air of excitement.
ANDREA AGNELLI — “This is the start of a new sports season. We know we have a lot to do, from today Beppe Marotta and Gigi Delneri are officially onboard, although neither needs introducing. Marotta was selected for his proven track record of attracting big players. Delneri is the right coach, he's a great tactician with a long and successful career behind him, he could pick up the reins of Juventus and lead it back to success. We are working on reorganizing the team, and will leave no stone unturned. It's a work in progress. We have the resources to build a team worthy of Juventus' glorious past, now is not the time to go into details of how much will be invested. Do I have a dream? If you stop dreaming then life can get difficult. A lot of Serie A presidents have called me to complement me on getting this job. Even Moratti, we grew up together. Could this be "Calciopoli 2"? There will be other times and places to talk about this."
JEAN CLAUDE BLANC — “With Marotta it's the culmination of a conversation that we started a year ago, and Beppe will be applying his professional experience and skill to the sports side of things. We will all work together for the good of Juventus. I would like to thank the outgoing management for the work they did, Zaccheroni did his utmost and his work will come to an end with the USA tour. An announcement will be made about the resources we will have to spend will be made on 31 July. Not qualifying for the Champions League will cost us ˆ25 million. A few revenues will be generated from the Europa League. We are optimistic though: we have no debt, Juventus has a positive net financial position and four years ago we went through a difficult patch. BEPPE MAROTTA — “I would like to thank Juventus for their faith in me. Today is the start of a new adventure, I will put every effort and passion into leading Juventus. We have a lot to do, Juventus needs to refind itself. I will do my bit. An invisible team is an essential part of it: the stronger the club, the stronger the team on the pitch. I have carte blanche as regards the market, I support all-Italian players and I have no doubt that it is easier for an Italian player to settle in a new club than it is for a player coming from abroad. How do we try to catch up with Inter? We need to play to win, we need to assess our market also in terms of the investments our opponents are making. The objective for next season is fourth place. Buffon? There are the foundations to keep working together. I will speak to all the players individually to try to understand who still wants to wear this shirt. Delneri and the 4-4-2? It's true that it's the formation he prefers, but he is also a flexible coach."
LUIGI DELNERI — “Thanks you Juventus for this opportunity. I will work hard to give this team the right shape and structure, I want a compact formation and I want results. I have a difficult job but we are all motivated to get on with it. I will give it everything, I want results and I want the fans to be satisfied. I need to show the club that they have made the right decision: Juventus have decided to focus on a staff that has done well in the past. How do I feel? When you get the call to coach Juventus it's normal that there is a little emotion on your debut, but I know what I have to do. This is an important challenge, the biggest of my career. But I have won other challenges. This for me is another opportunity to develop. I lead a winning club. I need to rebuild a winning mentality to allow Juve to get back to being itself. I will put my experience at the club's disposal to give the club a clear identity. I will work flat out until the dream of getting back to winning ways becomes reality.”
