Portugal with a 3 - 0 win against Mozambique |
 |
Portugal shrugged off the loss of winger Nani to brush aside Mozambique in their final World Cup warm-up match.
All the goals came in the second half as Danny opened the scoring before Hugo Almeida added a late brace.
The match was played only hours after Portugal confirmed that Nani has been ruled out of the tournament with a shoulder injury, with his replacement Ruben Amorim not yet having joined up with the squad.
However, Portugal did not appear to miss either player as they racked up a total of 24 shots at goal, albeit with only nine on target.
In Nani's absence, Raul Meireles started on the left and Deco began on the right, with Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo having to settle for a place on the bench.
They were rarely able to trouble Otshudi Lama in the first half, but things improved after the break. The breakthrough came in the 52nd minute when Deco played in Danny who fired in from close range.
The Zenit St Petersburg forward had two more chances to add to the score before turning provider in the 75th minute, with his pass finding half-time substitute Almeida who had the simplest of finishes from close range.
Almeida then got the third seven minutes from time with another close-range effort.
Ronaldo came into the action just after the hour mark and attempted several shots, without truly testing the goalkeeper.
