FOOTBALL NEWS FROM Ligue 1
PSG stunned by struggling Nancy
Ligue 1 leaders Paris St Germain slumped to a shocking 1-0 home defeat at the hands of second-from-bottom Nancy.

PSG lined up at the Parc des Princes with a chance to pull three points clear at the top of the table, but Jean Calve's 49th-minute strike for the visitors proved to be the only goal of the game.

The Qatari-backed Parisian club remain top of the table on goal difference ahead of Montpellier, with Lille and Rennes five points back in third and fourth respectively.

Stade Brest recorded just their second win of the season as they scored two late goals at home against Sochaux.

Bruno Grougi's 68th minute penalty put the hosts ahead while Romain Poyet's effort 10 minutes from time secured all three points.

Valenciennes came from behind to beat Auxerre 2-1 at Stade du Hainaut.

Armand Traore opened the scoring after 33 minutes for the visitors, but a goal by Isimat Mirin just before the hour mark put Valenciennes back on terms before Mamadou Samassa notched the winner 11 minutes from full time.
