Paris Saint-Germain have announced the signing of Roma striker Jeremy Menez and midfielder Blaise Matuidi from St Etienne on three-year deals.

Following the takeover by Qatar Sports Investments in June, PSG have been flexing their financial muscles and brought in Kevin Gameiro from Lorient for ˆ11 million.

Now they have added Menez, 24, who won the first of his five caps for France in a friendly against Norway last August and tough-tackling Matuidi, who also made his debut in the same game.

Brazilian Leonardo became director of football at PSG on July 13 and more deals, including possible moves for QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt and Palermo's Javier Pastore, are expected.

Valenciennes' Serbian centre-back Milan Bisevac is also believed to be close to a switch to Paris, while Leonardo has similarly identified Benfica's Luisao as a target to strengthen in defence.
