Gomis rescues Lyon |
|
Paris St Germain missed the chance to go back to the top of the Ligue 1 table following a thrilling draw with Lyon.
After a goalless first half, the game exploded into life in the second, with Aly Cissokho giving Lyon the lead.
Nene then levelled for PSG, with Guillaume Hoarau putting them 2-1 ahead from the spot after Cissokho had been sent off.
But there was still time for one more twist, with Bafetimbi Gomis netting three minutes from the end for Lyon.
Miralem Pjanic went close for Lyon early on with a volley that was deflected to safety, before Gomis fizzed a low drive just wide of the goal.
Lyon continued to impress and Gomis played in Michel Bastos, with the Brazil international snapping a shot against the post, before the duo linked up again with Gomis shaving the woodwork after a Bastos pass.
Bastos continued to probe after the break and whipped a 25-yard strike just wide, before Cissokho broke the deadlock after 52 minutes, slotting home after Kim Kallstrom played him in.
PSG woke up as a result of the goal and Hoarau went close with a header, before Nene pulled them level shortly after the hour, heading in Hoarau's cross after Claude Makelele had broken up the play.
Gomis went close with a lob as Lyon looked to respond, but they found themselves behind with eight minutes to go.
Nene was brought down in the area by Cissokho, who received his marching orders, and Hoarau made no mistake from the spot.
The drama was not over, though, as Gomis seized on a poor clearance from Edel Bete in the PSG goal, and slotted in a late equaliser.
