Rennes missed the chance to go top |

Rennes missed the chance to go top of Ligue 1 tonight as they were held to a draw by Lyon.
Although they took the lead after only four minutes through Jires Kembo-Ekoko, Rennes could not hold on and Lyon equalised through Michel Bastos early in the second half to take a point.
Rennes began brightly, with Hugo Lloris using his feet to save from Stephane Dalmat in the opening minute.
Moments later, Lloris had to make an excellent save to push away Alexander Tettey's shot from the right-hand side of the penalty area.
And they had the lead four minutes in when Kim Kallstrom lost the ball and Kembo rounded Cris before firing past Lloris from close range.
Lyon almost hit back immediately, but Bafetimbi Gomis could not beat Nicolas Douchez who was at full stretch to keep out the shot.
The chances then dried up at both ends until a pair of openings late in the half for Lyon.
Douchez saved the first effort from Kallstrom, but then needed his post to help out and prevent a second shot from the Swede from finding the net.
But Lyon would get their goal eight minutes into the second half when Bastos' free-kick took a slight deflection off Dalmat's shoulder to leave Douchez wrong-footed.
At the other end, Victor Hugo Montana's pass released Sylvain Marveaux but his strong shot was blocked by Lloris.
Yohan Gourcuff then sent a free-kick wide of the target.
The last chance of the game went to Lyon as Miralem Pjanic linked up with Gomis, but Pjanic's shot went just over the crossbar.
